The Growing Space is a small farm nestled in a forest, located just outside the pretty town of Morganton, NC, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We raised organic-fed forest-raised heritage pigs and rotationally grazed Katahdin lamb.
We are keeping 35+ acres of the land in forest and pond to maintain wild habitat and resources for foraging and protect the watershed feeding Canoe Creek and ultimately the Catawba River.

Our philosophy is that farming can be done in a way that benefits not only people, but also the natural environment. To this end we use a regenerative approach to raising the animals on our farm; aiming to improve soil quality, biodiversity and water quality through our farming practices. This means we use organic pig feed and inputs, and don't use herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers on our pastures.
