Celtic Sea Salt® was founded in 1976 by Dr. Jacques Delangre, a food scientist who believed salt could do more than season. He named the brand after a hand-harvesting method dating back to the Celts and Mayans, and introduced America to hand-harvested, mineral-rich sea salt.

Jacques’ vision was carried forward by his daughter-in-law, Selina Delangre, who grew Celtic Sea Salt® into a globally recognized name in wellness and clean eating. Today, Selina, her daughter, and the Celtic Sea Salt® team continue that mission by preserving salt’s natural purity.
